Hernandez has been painting murals in Milwaukee and other parts of Wisconsin for many years. He likes to spread positive messages and awareness of social issues through his murals. The mural he is most proud of is the “Mural of Peace”  located on 6th and National, because it is one of the most public ones, with a universal meaning of inclusivity and unity. He enjoys making murals that tailor to various communities, especially the Latinx community in Milwaukee.

Hernandez is one of the most famous muralists in Milwaukee, as many of his murals are widely known around the city. He has used his own experience as a Latin American in Milwaukee and the stories of other Latin Americans to influence his art. He continues to take part in the tradition of public art, which considers to have been around since ancient times as a method of response to current issues. [10]
